On the 1st of August 2003 the Cerf Island Marine Park Resort opened on
Cerf Island. The island is located in the nature protected
Sainte Anne Marine National Park and is home to only a few local families.
Trails through tropical woods lead to deserted beaches.
The Marine National Park is a popular snorkeling and diving location
and is well known for its colourful and rich underwater world. It is very
easy to get from the resort to the coral reefs.
The transfer to the main island of Mahé takes about ten minutes and is
available at regular intervals with the hotel boat.
Rooms/Accommodation:
The twelve luxuriously equipped lodges are all named after local trees and
fishes. The four Hillside Lodges have a large bedroom, bathroom and
terrace.
The five Tortoise Suites come with a spacious bedroom, bathroom and
living room. The living room can be converted into an additional bedroom
for the kids. Each of the terraces offers partial sea view.
The three Hideaway Lodges have a spacious bedroom, bathroom
and terrace, as well as a private garden with direct view of the ocean.
The hotel restaurant is situated on a cliff with a panoramic view
of the Marine Park, St. Anne and Mahé. The culinary delights spoil its guests with traditional
Creole and French cooking. If desired, a private dinner on the beach
can be arranged. Picnic bags with tasty surprises are prepared for
excursions. In the entrance of the restaurant there is a cocktail bar.
Next to the restaurant is a so-called infinity-edge pool, which seems to
glide of into the ocean. The twelve lodges are complete with a private mini
Spa for exclusive use.
Activities:
Snorkel equipment, kayaks, pedalos and a small business centre with Internet
connection are free of charge. Private boat trips, excursions to neighbouring
islands and Mahé, picnics, barbecues, sport fishing and sailing can all be
organised on request.
