The exclusive colonial-style built Half Moon resort is located in a gently curved, crescent-shaped bay not far from Montego Bay on the north coast of Jamaica. The comfortable bungalows and villas are scattered throughout tropical gardens and palm groves. A complimentary shuttle bus runs between the resort and the nearby Half Moon Golf Course.

398 rooms and suites are divided in ten categories and offer air-conditioning, minibar, safe, TV/radio, direct-dial telephone, wireless internet (available in selected rooms), hairdryer, bathrobe, iron/ironing board as well as balcony or terrace.

The comfortably furnished Superior Rooms are located in two-storey buildings with balcony/terrace and garden view. The Deluxe Rooms with balcony/terrace are tucked away in white-washed cottages and offer garden or ocean view. The two-storey Deluxe Suites are ideal for families and have a colourful bedroom on the upper floor and a spacious living room and kitchen on the ground level. The suites also offer a terrace/balcony with garden view. The Royal Suites feature bedroom, living area, over-sized bathroom, private balcony or terrace with a view over the ocean or garden. Royal Suite guests share two large swimming pools. The beachfront Hibiscus Rooms and Suites have a magnificent view over the ocean or garden as well as wireless internet access. The Imperial Suites are the most luxurious and offer balcony/terrace with ocean or garden view.

The elegantly furnished and tastefully decorated private Royal Villas, available with four to seven bedrooms offer a butler service, housekeeper and a private cook. A private swimming pool, spacious living room, cable-TV, radio, CD-player, air-conditioning, telephone, wireless internet access, safe, bathrobe, balcony/terrace and two golf carts are available.

Delicious food and cocktails are served in any of the six restaurants and eight bars of the resort. The Seagrape Terrace, shaded by almond trees and overlooking Sunset Beach, offers Jamaican and international cuisine. Authentic Italian meals are prepared in the restaurant Il Giardino. The Sugar Mill spoils its guests with Jamaican delicacies served in a romantic setting. Lovers of Indian or Thai cuisine will enjoy the Akbar/Thai Garden restaurant. Light meals and snacks are prepared in the Royal Pavilion and the al fresco bar La Baguette.

Within the resort there is a shopping arcade, beauty salon, laundry service, children's activity centre, florist and a business centre with cyber-lounge.

Activities
Beside a number of smaller swimming pools, the Half Moon resort also has an Olympic pool. Sport activities include: 13 lit tennis courts, 4 squash courts, croquet lawn, giant chess, table tennis, bicycle rental, a fully equipped fitness centre and an 18-hole, par-72 golf course. In addition, the following water sports are offered: water skiing, snorkelling, Scuba-diving, rowing, kayaking, sailing, glass-bottom boat tours and deep-sea fishing. Other highlights include an exclusive dolphin lagoon and a riding centre.

The Fern Tree Spa is a perfect retreat for body, mind and soul. Here, modern spa treatments are combined with traditional Jamaican remedies.
