Joy's Camp - Shaba National Reserve
Joy's Camp opened in 2006 and is the newest camp managed by Cheli & Peacock.
The camp has 10 luxurious tents overlooking a natural spring which is the
main waterhole of the area. Each tent is decorated with traditional Bedouin
Somali cloth design and has in addition to a veranda a private roof deck, dressing
area, bathroom and lounge area. The swimming pool of the lodge is an ideal
location from where to enjoy the stunning views of Shaba. The following activites can
be arranged at Joy's Camp: day or night game drives in 4-wheel vehicles, escorted bush walks,
bush breakfast, picnic lunch, camel treks and cultural visits.
Elsas Kopje - Meru National Park
Elsa's Kopje is a luxurious oasis in the wilds of Meru National Park.
Meru is vast with open plains with many Baobab trees and lush
vegetation along its 13 rivers. Kopje is the African word for "small hill"
and the lodge itself is picturesquely located at the hillside of the
700 metre Mughwango Hill.
The nine uniquely designed cottages were built from natural materials of the
area. Each cottage has a private veranda and en-suite bathroom.
Bar, living and dining area are located at the centre of the lodge. The
swimming pool falls neatly into the horizon beyond the Meru plains. Activities
at Elsas Kopje include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfast,
line fishing and excursions to a village of the Tharaka tribe at the southern
border of the park.
Saruni Safari Camp - Masai Mara
The Saruni Safari Camp is located in a nature sanctuary, bordering the Masai Mara
National Reserve. Set in a remote valley, at the
heart of the African wilderness, are 6 unique cottages.
The atmosphere of the camp is informal but elegant. Each cottage is uniquely
designed with colonial antiques, Persian carpets and African artistry.
Within view of the private veranda various animals can be observed at the nearby waterhole.
In colloboration with Centro Benessere Stresa, the world famous Italien
spa treatment, Saruni Safari Camp offers the Masai Well-Being Space.
Guests can enjoy massage and wellness treatments in a natural and relaxing
environment. Other activites of the camp include game drives in open Land
Rovers, escorted bush walks, walking with Masai Warriors, bird watching and
cultural visits.
Manda Bay Resort - Lamu Island
Manda Bay is an idyllic island within the romantic Lamu archipelago. The Manda
Bay Resort is located at one of the many palm fringed, white sand beaches, which
make the island the ideal retreat for honeymooners.
All 12 cottages are constructed by local materials and have large ceiling fans
and en-suite bathrooms. The central bar and dining area with a view of the Indian Ocean
is furnished with locally crafted Lamu furniture. The discovery of the nearby
mangroves and ruins, visiting the many islets, snorkelling or deep-sea fishing are
just a few activites which are offered at Manda Bay Resort.
