This elegant hotel, located directly on a white sandy beach near Belle Mare, on the east coast of the island, reflects the varied culture of the dream-island of Mauritius. Chinese, Indian and African elements are merged with each other to create an extraordinary atmosphere. This is reflected by the use of straw-roofed buildings which are furnished with Indian and African woods and decorated with African textiles. The Restaurant Indochine provides an excellent multiethnic cuisine.

The Maharajah Suite, with an area of 240m² is the hotel's largest. Smaller suites are the Senior Suites (100m²), the Lagoon and Honeymoon Suites (90m²) or the Junior Suites (60m²). The Deluxe and Superior Rooms are about 60m² in area. All rooms have a balcony or terrace with sea-view, and an Internet connection in addition to the usual high standards of services provided.

The hotel complex offers four restaurants: the main restaurant Rive Gauche, Mauritian restaurant, the Le Langoustier with romantic view across the lagoon and the á-la-carte restaurant La Méditerrannée. There are also a deli/snack shop, two bars, gambling room, library, a spacious swimming pool (2.000m²) with children's area, sauna, massage, hairdresser, boutiques, conference room and business centre. Children's club and babysitting are offered.

Activities
The turquoise-coloured lagoon is most suitable for water sports and relaxing swims. For a charge, parasailing, deep-sea fishing, diving or an underwater stroll provide variety. You can hire a bicycle, go horse-riding or indulge yourself with a soothing massage. Costs for this are available on application. Sailing, waterskiing, canoeing, volleyball, tennis, aerobics and football are also on the programme.
