Huvafen Fushi Spa Resort


A breath taking 25 minute luxury speedboat ride from Malé International Airport is the of many guests as Nakatchafushi known island. Set within its own lagoon, Huvafen Fushi is a naturalist's wonderland where the landscape above and below the waterline is an attraction itself. Per Aquum, which manages Huvafen Fushi, recently re-developed the island to meet its exacting standards of luxury and service with a multi-million dollar new build project with a underwater spa and overwater bungalows with pool. Per Aquum is dedicated to a sustainable and sensitive development of the land and natural resources of the island, country and the Maldivian people.

Rooms/Accommodation: The newly opened luxury resort includes altogether 44 Pool Bungalows, each of them with an own fresh water pool. Eight Beach Bungalows with Plunge Pool (100 sqm), as well as eight Deluxe Beach Bungalows with Plunge Pool (170 sqm) with view on the lagoon offer open air bathrooms, Sala, day beds, hidden safe, IDD telephone, oversized king bed, 40" plasma screen, Bose surround system with DVD player.
Two Beach Pavilion with Private Pool (600 sqm), located on a select stretch of beach, feature custom designed beds with oversized beds, with oversized open air showers and deep baths, open plan living area with gourmet kitchen and bar creates an inviting indoor/outdoor ambience. Again a Bose surround sound theatre system with plasma 60" TV with DVD, designer fittings and unlimited luxuries adds to the seduction of these pavilions. The large outdoor area and deck incorporates a private Plunge Pool, jacuzzi, two large salas, day beds and dining setting; additional there is a 24 hour butler service.
Twelve Lagoon Bungalows with Plunge Pool (120 sqm) were build in split level layout over the water and incorporate pool and sun deck.
Twelve Ocean Bungalows with Plunge Pool (160 sqm) with a fantastic view over the wide ocean. The specially large bungalows feature a freshwater pool, double open air showers, and a glazed lounge where spa treatments are possible (extra coasts).
Two Ocean Pavilions with Private Pool (300 sqm): A full 200 meters out in the ocean, these stunning pavilions face sunset and are the last word in pampered luxury. Privacy is assured as access to these wooden walkways is only to pavilion residents. The entrance opens to the private Plunge Pool, which blends naturally with the horizon creating an endless vision of blue splendour. The upper deck hosts two salas, the lower one features a spacious dining area, which includes a 24 hour butler service.

Although dinner can be served at any favoured place, there are of course several bars and restaurants on the grounds as well. The Celsius embodies the traditional Maldivian style, the Raw offers spa cuisine and a juice bar, the Salt, a over water restaurant, serves daily the best fish. Furthermore there can be arranged a private dinner in the wine cellar. The first under water bar of the Maldives, Blue, opens unknown perspectives.

Activities: Included are snorkelling equipment and all non-motorised watersport, such as windsurfing, sailing, etc. For an extra charge: Treatment at the Aquum Spa, water view, lessons at the Overwater-Yoga-Pavilion, diving at the PADI-Dive-Center, sunset fishing from a traditional Dhoni, deep-sea fishing and snorkeling trips.
