The Indigo Bay Island Resort lies at the southern end of Bazaruto: an island,
rising out of the blue of the sea like a massive dune, that belongs to a
protected marine national park sponsored by the WWF. Perfect for diving,
snorkelling, deep-sea fishing or simply an uncomplicated beach holiday.
Bazaruto is the largest of the five main islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago.
Along with the endless white, sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters,
Bazaruto offers one of the best areas for diving and fishing off the coast of
Africa. The archipelago and the waters around it are home to such rare
species as sea turtles, sea cows, dolphins, whales, whale sharks and manta
rays. For those who prefer dry land, there are excursions that explore the
island either in off-road vehicles or on horseback.
Rooms/Accommodation:
The resort has a total of 50 rooms, including 2 Suites. All of the 24 Beach
Chalets have direct access to the beach, while the Bay View Rooms have
fantastic views of the ocean and the bay. Each Chalet has a shower/WC,

Suites also have separate living and sleeping areas, king-size beds and
private pools.
For honeymooners, there is a special Honeymoon Chalet, also on the beach but
somewhat further away from the other rooms for a little extra privacy.
The main building contains a spacious lobby, a large bar and a restaurant
which stages entertainment in the evenings. Down by the beach is a large
