The Le Prince Maurice holds the highest award from "Relais & Chateaux" and welcomes its guests at a quiet, secluded section of the north-east coast. It is located in the middle of a magnificent tropical garden on a beach that is reserved for the hotel guests. The soft shimmer o fthe marble floor that extends over the pool area to the beach attracts one's glance upon entering the impressive foyer. Marble, wood and granite also create a peaceful atmosphere in the other parts of the complex.
Hotel manager Andrew Milton and his competent staff of 300 are available around the clock to ensure that the service corresponds to the luxurious ambience. No wonder that people who once spent a holiday in this (honeymoon-)oasis like to return for relaxation time and again.

Rooms/Accommodation: The hotel has 89 luxuriously-equipped spacious suites. Of those, 76 are Junior Suites, with bathroom/toilet, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, TV with radio/video channels, VCD-player, CD-player, telephone, hairdryer, safe, minibar and balcony or terrace. 12 larger Senior Suites with separate living area and bedroom offer even more comfort. Some of them have their own swimmingpools. Those that were built on stilts over water are particularly romantic and unrivalled in Mauritius. Pure luxury is in store for holidaymakers who choose the Princely Suite. It comprises two Junior Suites, one Senior Sute and two small private swimmingpools, thus fulfilling the heart's desires.

Two restaurants and various bars take care of your physical well-being. "L'Archipel" restaurant serves impeccable international cuisine - from the French chef's starters to the delicious desserts. The very charming "Le Barrachois" restaurant floats on the lagoon and is accessible only by a wooden footbridge. It offers a choice of grilled dishes, seafood and salads. The "Laguna Bar" provides fantastic cocktail creations as well as tasteful jazz-, piano- or sitar-music in the evening.

You can either relax in the huge swimmingpool, the steam bath and in the sauna or treat yourself to a massage in the Guerlain Institute's beauty parlor. A hairdressing salon, several boutiques, a fully-equipped business-centre and a cosy library where books, videos and games are loaned, transform the hotel into a small private city.

Activities: Complimentary golf is available at the nearby Belle Mare Plage Resort's two 18-hole courses as a change from the typical aquatic sports such as waterskiing, snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing. A shuttle service free of charge is available for the hotel guests. Two tennis courts, an air-conditioned squash court and a gymnasium are among the range of recreational facilities. For a fee, deep-sea fishing, flyfishing, catamaran cruises and scuba diving lessons at the coral reefs are also available.

Entertainment: Almost daily entertainment with jazz, blues and other bands. Once a week, local musicians and dancers invite the guests to the beach to perform a Sega show.
