Maca Bana Villas

The small, family run boutique hotel Maca Bana is located in the southern part of Grenada, next to the long white sandy Magazine Beach. Maca Bana is only a two-minute drive away from Point Salines Airport, five minutes from Grand Anse Beach and 15 minutes from the capital St. George's. The hotel concept is based on green tourism. Solar panels on the roofs of the villas supply electricity and hot water. All villas are set on a hillside amidst tropical trees with views over the Caribbean Sea, St. George's and the hills beyond. A well maintained garden features an infinity swimming pool overlooking the beach and a central rock waterfall with a terrapin pond.

Rooms/Accommodation
Maca Bana has 5 Deluxe Villas for 1 - 4 persons and 2 One-Bedroom Villas for 1 - 2 persons. All villas are named after the surrounding flora and designed accordingly by Rebecca Thompson, a local artist and owner of the hotel.

Each of the spacious single-storey Deluxe Villas, Pineapple and Mango, has two air-conditioned bedrooms with writing desk, safe, ceiling fan, en-suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, a fully equipped kitchen and a seating area with phone, CD-player and wireless internet access throughout the property. A private six-seater massage hot tub and a shaded dining area are situated on hardwood sun decks. For personal laundry requirements, guests can use a washing machine and dryer in a separate utility room. The Pineapple Villa is very child friendly with its own garden and a spacious wooden balcony. The more private Mango Villa is situated on a hillside with a stunning view over the ocean.

The two-storey Deluxe Villas Avocado, Coconut and Cherry are equipped like Pineapple and Mango. However, the fully fitted kitchen with wooden cabinets and fine European stainless steal appliances is located upstairs. On the same floor is a dining area, living area with cable TV and a separate toilet.

The One-Bedroom Villas Paw Paw and Rock Fig are set right into the cliff. Both villas are air-conditioned and offer a bedroom with writing desk, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, CD-player, safe, phone, ceiling fan and wireless internet connection. On the sun decks are private massage hot tubs with incredible views of the turquoise water and surrounding area.

Guests are welcome to enjoy their meals in The Aquarium Restaurant right at the beach. For a more romantic atmosphere guests can order the Personal Chef Service, whereby a chef from the restaurant will prepare a delicious meal in the guest's villa and serve it on the private sun deck.

Activities
The use of kayaks and snorkelling equipment is included in the room rate. The nearest dive shop is Devotion2Ocean just down the beach. Maca Bana does not have a fitness room or spa centre. The hotel offers a variety of beauty and health treatments, such as full body massage, foot reflexology, Ayurveda facials, hot stone massage, manicure and pedicure, as well as private lessons in yoga, tai chi, meditation, chi kung and pilates.
