16-Days Eclipse Tour

Day 1
You will be picked up from Livingston airport and transfered to Lost Horizons Lodge four kilometers from the Victoria Falls. This evening will be enjoyed in the comfortable lodge watching your first African sunset.

Day 2 to 3
We head for the Kazangula ferry to cross the mighty Zambezi river into Botswana. Once all border formalities are completed we travel towards the Chobe National park, which is know for it's elephant and buffalo herds. We will spend two days searching for wildlife in this diverse and striking landscape.

Day 4,5 to 6
The big game aspect of our tour commences today as we enter Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana. The park covers swamp areas as well as dry land. We will spend time searching for the vast variety of animals and bird life. Going for early morning and late afternoon game drives. Camping will be at private designated areas with bush ablutions.

Day 7
After waking up to the sounds of birds we will make our way back to Maun, the tourist capital of Botswana through the Moremi Game Reserve. Here we will spend one night at a private camping site while preparing to make our way up to the Delta.

Day 8 to 9
Our adventure will take us to the southern side of the Okavango delta, a special corner of paradise. We will spend two days exploring this beautiful area with mekoros (traditional dugout canoes) and on foot, enjoying the exquisite bird life of this region.

Day 10
We will head back to the private camping site in Maun to spend one night there while relaxing around the camp fire in the evening and sharing exciting moments of the last few days. We will have the chance to take a game flight over the Delta (own expense USD 90,-).

Day 11
Rising with the sun, our route takes us to the famous Naxi Pan National Park, where herds of springboks and zebra graze on the open-wide plains. The late afternoon will be spent on a game drive, searching for desert wildlife characteristic of this area. Camping in designated area with bush ablution.


Day 12 to 13
These two days will be spend at a bush camp to enjoy the wonder of nature, the Eclipse. A private camp will ensure us the feeling of open wild space.

Day 14
We head back to Zambia. Tonight we camp on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. The afternoon will spend by exploring the riverbanks, hoping to spot crocodiles bathing in the sun and hearing the fish eagles calling.

Day 15 to 16
Staying on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls at the comfortable Lost Horizon Lodge. There is plenty of time to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls and shop for curios. Dinner and lunch is at your own expense at the lodge. The tour officially ends at 10 a.m. on the 16th day. Transfer to Livingston, Victoria Falls or Kasane airports can be arranged. We will gladly assist with bookings for accommodation and activities should you wish to extend your visit, to enjoy some of the other exciting activities offered at the Victoria Falls, such as the exhilarating white water rafting down the Zambezi Gorge.
